Re: counteracting torque steering

Without power steering, it helps at speed because it keeps the steering straight (helps to) whereas power steering and your arms make quick/easy work of holding a line.

Others eschew the need to understand the issue is at low speed and idle speed and is about wander (which is not to be confused with torque steer).

That's interesting I have power steering AND the tab (I honestly didn't know what it was for) but have no problems with steering underway and not much low speed wander on my 21' deep V arrowglass. At least now I know what it is for!

Thanks for your input, everyone. It would seem that I was confusing torque steer with wander. It sounds as if torque steer is a high speed issue & wander is slow speed problem? I guess I'll have to live with it. It's a pain when trying to land. I was hoping that some sort of attachment to the outdrive might help to solve the problem.
