Couple of questions about my Yamaha

130 HP Yamaha 2000

1) How do I replace the fuel filter? Its on the port side correct? I just can figure out how the plastic housing comes off.

2) With the trim all the way down the gauge on the dash only reads a 3 out of 5, whats the fix? (Digital)

Dump the contents of the filter and clean the screen. The trim sending arm can be adjusted to correct the reading. It is mounted with two screws which when backed off allow you to madjust.

u need to loosen one bolt to un-screw the black retaining ring
i would put a new filter in unless it is metal

Yeah I get the whole container off the mounting bracket but what do I do after that? I cant seem to get the (proably originally white but now yellow because of the gas) cup off to get to the filter and replace it.
