Re: couple of questions

Any Autoparts store will have the adapter, As fare as grease, I check mine after each trip to the water. "Marine wheel bearing grease"

Re: couple of questions

is the grease fitting a buddie bearing type, or a dust cover drilled and a zerk fitting installed?

it is a sup-r hub.tie down engineering. it has a zerk fitting onthe back of the hub and a cover on the front with a pop out rubber plug u take off to watch the greasecome thru. i guess it is like a bearing buddy. i did not know it was on there till i took a good look at the wheels. my dealer never told me about it . i have had the rig for 5 yrs know, fresh water only.

Re: couple of questions

5 years, id be looking to do some bearing repacking, but it all depends on how often it gets used and far you drive. best bet is to see if the grease is all dirty or dry, if it is replace it, if not add some more too it. But if it were me id be looking to see what shape the bearings are in. I just did the bearings on my camp trailer the other day, they were still good but the grease was 4 years old, it held up surprisingly good but this camper doesnt go in water, the average camp trip is about 100mi round trip.

My boat trailer i do every year at the end of the season regardless if it needs to grease or not, if the bearings are good i dont bother with the races just clean the hubs out and hand pack some grease in it clean the bearings and pack them, new double lip rear seal and pop it back on and hit the zirk fitting with the gun till it comes oozing out the front.

If you havent gottne your adapter yet wallmart sells them for like 10 bucks and they had little led's to let you know if your wiring is working right on your vehicle

Your Jeep is wired for electric brakes. (more wires) You can get an adapter for the basic 4 wire just about anywhere that sells automotive equipment.
