Cover paint

I am going to repaint my johnson cover, then do the graphics myself. Which type of paint is best for this?

If you have the ability and a place to do it, I would recommend a base coat clear coat in a urethane. It will hold up better than anything else. You can get a paint match at your local autobody supplier.

http://www.nymarine.ca seems to have stuff for only 1976 and before. However, I'm sending an email to check.

I may simply have to take the cowling to a hardware store or auto shop and see what they recommend.
