Cover snaps for before painting?

Anyone know how I can cover the riveted snaps before I paint my aluminum boat? Id never be able to mask them all.....Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not sure this is the best answer or if it would work, but you could buy the snap sockets put a little tape on the hole and pop the snap sockets off when done. iboats sells just the snap sockets http://www.iboats.com/Handi-Man-Can...1343414--session_id.063133181--view_id.685813

Unless someone else chimes in that is how I would do it If I was unable to tape it.

Maybe putting some blu-tak or modelling clay over them would work?

There riveted on. I don't think it is worth the effort to drill them all off. Just painting her to clean her up. Not making a show boat....
