Hello Everyone - I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find the parts to go from a 15" short shaft to a 20 long shaft? Here is what I am trying to achieve. I am running a 40 hp Evinrude (1993) with a jet. My transome is 20". The motor is 15" short shaft. I am looking for a "conversion kit" so when the water gets deep or we have ice like we are getting now I can get through it. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

do you need to keep the jet unit?

if not, you could just find a used 40hp lower unit on ebay for a 20incher, or maybe a local sale.....

Blastem....what ya' would have to do is change out the exhaust housing to make it a long shaft. They didn't make the spacer kit for these like the older models. They lengthened the exhaust housing instead.
