I Have A 1976 Merc 500 That I Am Going To Replace With A 1977 Merc 70. The 70 Does Not Have Power Trim/tilt. My 50 Hp Does (i Have A Pump And Motor That Sits In Back Of Boat And Transfers Fluid Thru Lines To Motor. Can This System Be Adapted To The 70 Hp Motor ? (the Mounting Areas Look Similar Between The 2 Motors) Is It Simply Swapping Parts From The One Motor To The Other? Please Answer As Soon As Possible I Am Looking At Motor Again For Possible Purchase

Should be a direct swap. Unbolt from one motor and bolt up to the other. Don't forget to retrieve ALL the hardware from the 50 to mount the PTT to the 70.
