Have a 1977 3 cyl Johnson 70 HP that I just picked purchased.
The bellcrank for the fuel system rotates on a post protruding for the block with a bolt in the center that holds it in place.
The problem is it looks like some tool over torqued the bolt and there is a hairline crack running down the post. The screw wont snug up now. Is there any EZ fix for this? I dont think it needs a lot of torque to hold the bellcrank in place. Any suggestions?

Also there is a plastic balljoint on top of the bellcrank that attatches the linkage to the advance just under the flywheel that is old and cracked. Is it possible to get one of those plastic ball joints?

The fittings are available through your local dealer. Find the numbers by checking the parts catalog for your motor: http://shop.evinrude.com/

Click the parts diagram at the upper right of the linked page and navigate to your motor.
