If y'all have been following my saga, I have/had water in the motor oil. Risers/manifolds are to be replaced, but I also want to be sure the block is not cracked before doing any more work. Someone suggested a pressure-test. I do not have the tools to do this and reliable boat mechanics are not available for "small" jobs this time of year in SoFLA.

So...today I drained the block, removed the raw-water pump and engine circulating pump. I found no evidence of oil or oil/water goo in the block or any of the parts/hoses.

Is it safe to assume, based on the lack of oil in the engine block water passages, that my block is NOT cracked?

Many thanks in advance,

D.
