I had /have water in my oil and i removed port side head and found water on top of each piston, examined head and found a 2" crack in the middle(v6) cylinder at the exhaust valve. Would this be my smoking gun or should i go deeper? thanks

Ayuh,... That's certainly a Problem,...
But it couldn't be dropping Water into the Oil when Running,... It all goes out the exhaust....
A little bit would seep pass the rings when sitting, but not alot...

You have the Intake off,... See any Cracks there,..??
Otherwise, the next favorite spot for freeze cracks is inside the block, opposite the drainplugs....

Re: cracked head

yeah, the intake is off and everything looks good there. I have another block that did crack from freezing, so I know exactly where your talking about. I believe this is a new problem with the water in the oil, as I have been using it quite a bit up till now, so It couldn't have froozen now. opposite drain plugs? there is no way to check that is there? I will look harder today. Thanks for the help.
