Hi all, Whenever I write, seems like a book--Sorry, pretty simple questions really.
Took my powerhead off to place on a clean freshwater lower housing/swivel/bracket/tnt...My steering was so rusted, so made sense.
When I took off the Phead (it runs great). I noticed the Lower Crankcase head bearing housing had two small holes(or more like a 1/8" wide by 1/4" long split on each side). These are next to the normal FLAT spots normally present. I saw someone selling one on ebay and it too had these. They dont look normal at all. My other ones from different motor dont have them. They spots look "ragged"
Was going to work on replacing this if it can be done without full dis-assembly. Does anyone know offhand? I have no Noises and it turns very smooth. Not sure what this is. Was even thinking of sealing them up for now if there is no problem.
In looking at the BRP parts lists...It seems this Part has unique PN/s for several different year ranges. Mine is listed as #434793
I ask because I have several spares from different years with different listed pn's, and they dont sub to this one. But in physically comparing to mine, they look identical. Are they?
thanks
Mark
