Crankcase hose not attached to my carb

It is just hanging there. Should it be attache dto the air filter on the top of the carb? Not sure why it is not attached.

Should be a fitting on the flame-arrestor,(air-filter) maybe on the bottom, it will slide-on.

Are you talking about the hose that comes from the fly wheel cover on the back of engine?? If so, Im pretty sure that is just a vent hose and is not suppose to be connected to anything.
