How crazy and hard would it be to slice up a 16 footer close bow to an open bow. Is it possible?

Re: Crazy talk

Some will scoff, but it's been done.
As with most things, the hard part isn't slicing it up, but putting something half-decent looking back together. :D
I know there's at least one guy here that's chopped the top off of a big Starcraft cabin boat and turned it into an open bow.
I wouldn't think of doing it to a boat in 1/2 decent condition, as I think it would be easier to find an open bow boat to start with.
If you're talking about fiberglass and not aluminum, I have no idea.

Re: Crazy talk

aluminum speaking and open funding... like the thread states, it's crazy talk since I just got a decent shape starcraft 16 footer. Not sure, how much open bow space I'd get out of it lol. I've googled and got one guy who ran out of cash because of all honesty, the economy took his job but I hope he does finish it up. Give him credit I'm sure it might end up in a good $$$ change investment.

Re: Crazy talk

This is my father's boat.
It's a 1966 16' Starcraft Jupiter.

And my dad's a COB so trust me when I tell you not much $$ was invested in this thing...
