Guys,
I'm disassembling the upper gearcase of a volvo penta SP-A outdrive to replace the gaskets. See 075.jpg.
The problem is, I can't get the left hand thread bolt off the top (see 077.jpg).
since I can't seem to keep the shaft from turning at the same time. I've tried putting it in a vise, holding it with a pair of plyers, etc. I just can't seem to get this bolt off the the top. Any ideas?
