Not sure if "creatine" fits what you described.

You may mean creatINine.
It is a bi-product of normal (sometimes abnormal) muscle breakdown.
It is usually filtered out by kidney function; high levels would usually indicate a kidney problem.

We lost a dog to kidney failure...primary diagnostic was the blood work and the exhibited sky-high creatinine value.

it is about the kidneys, believe me I know. I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease several months ago which took almost a year of seeing every specialist you can name, took a year to find the problem as with the tennis player Venus Williams recently. A white blood cell disease, that your white blood cells become the enemy and attacks every part of your body. my kidney's were attacked. My creatinine level was at 2.7 way to high. As explained by my kidney specialist you want to be around the 0.6-1.2. After being on chemo for the last several months to fight the auto immune which is toxic I have just started taking a medication that they give to people that have had a transplant.

If you do have a creatinine problem mention to your doctor about taking a high blood pressure pill, it does not just fight high blood pressure. My blood pressure was great prior to taking the meds.
