I am looking at a 2007 Crownline 220 LS. It has a 350mag 300hp engine and around 80 hours. It also comes with a new trailer. I am new to boating and want to know if the $32,250.00 price they quoted me is good, bad, or normal. Also does anyone know what the weight limit is on the boarding ladders. I have a large friend who has mentioned going with my family boating if we buy a boat.

Re: Crownline 220 LS

I believe the Crownline brand succumbed to the economy. Take a look and see if they still have their website up which had an owners board and ask some of your specific questions. Is this a dealer or private party selling the rig?

Re: Crownline 220 LS

Crownline has been purchased and is reorganizing, the new site is just now coming back online and the owners forum has yet to be put online as of today, if your interested in another forum for Crownies please PM me. You would have to have a very large friend to worry about the load capacity of the boarding ladder but remember once your friend is in the water he is lighter so don't put to much into the thought. I have heavy family members and its just something they have to learn, the ladder flex's and they can't climb it like a typical ladder, once they figure it out its not so bad. On Dry land its another issue though and boarding from a dock may be a better idea.

2007 220LS for $32K would be a bit high in Colorado but where you are may be another deal altogether as the market changes depending on various things such as used boats available, the most important thing being if your happy with the return, I paid $27k for my boat a tad bigger but 7 years older and had a bit more then twice the hours but I was very happy with the boat since it was nearly perfect, the care that had been taken was unreal. So I think only you can determine what is the right price for the boat.
