Am currently looking to purchase one of these boats that I can get at the same price brand new. I am a torn between the two. I like the look of the LPX but it really lack in comfort and storage etc. Any imput on these two boats..Is the speed and/or handeling that much different. What are the perks..?

All pleasure boats try to satisfy a whole lot of goals. And end up compromises. Regardless of brand. For these particular boats I would ask the guys on this site -

The 23 ss is the same as the previous 225 BR, just renamed. It's a bowrider that has been around for a long time (at least 10 years). It's a fairly good hull for handling and speed. Horsepower to 425 hp. With that much hp expect speeds in the mid 60's. With the 375 hp engine, expect low 60's. With 300 hp, expect mid 50's.

The 240 EX is a deck boat and is more targeted to cruising and entertaining.
