Crusader exhaust riser & elbow install question

I've got the parts, gaskets and necessary install kits to replace all nuts/bolts for the risers & elbows. I'm going to tackle the job tomorrow. Trying to get some decent instructions.

Main question is using gasket sealant or not. Most recommend to do so and to use Perfect Seal (although there's a lot of people who say no sealant). Can't track "perfect seal" down in Canada (around Vancouver) so wonder what Permatex product is similar?

Is it necessary to use a gasket sealer at riser/manifold connection? Use sealant between the gaskets that sandwich the metal plate at the riser/manifold end? sealant on the gasket between riser/elbow??

What can anyone recommend or provide any additional tips from experience? Thanks!!

the recommended osco gaskets (96108). not sure if they are metallic carbon or not, they don't say? Regardless some guys say use a sealant even if they are recommended to mount dry? Seems everyone is divided?
