Ed I have seen prop guys do it over a trailer hitch ball and Dave Dewald do it over a post, so I guess with a tool, if you really need one it should be easy

Ive done all kinds of things with props over the years, but I look back at it and would reconcider some of the things I did now that I know about balance and all. I took a 21P SS prop one time, It was one of those teflon coated ones. and trimmed about 1/2" off on the leading edge, ground all the teflon off and polished it. It worked awesome and brought it up about 400 RPM where I wanted it. I wonder if it ever wore out the bearing from being out of balance after I sold the boat. It never vibrated or anything. I wouldnt do that now. I might carefully add a little cup if I thought I needed it though.
