I was just wondering what other members pay for winter storage. I think I got pretty lucky with my deal. $51.00 a month for a heated warehouse slot for the winter. Our company gets a break at the warehouse because we rent half of it to store our finished production freezers.

I'm still running antifreeze through the block. I'm not taking any chances.

rick, back in the 70's we had places like that, you would call them tell them your coming. they would gas it up, launch it. and it would be ready to go when you got there. come in they would load, hose it down, and put it away, $20.00 a month. now it's $175.00 a month for it to be in a stacked rack you can't get to. and you may have to wait an hour for it to get in the water.

Yep TD, I had a place like that at the lake about 10 years ago. I'd call them and tell them I was coming down(150 Miles away) and it would be in the water waiting for me ready to go. Then when I was done, I'd just put it at their dock and head home. They would pull it out and store it inside. Used a huge tractor to launch and haul it out... Heck, they would even fix your tire if it was flat. Man I miss those days.... It was $30.00 a month and worth every penny... Now I do all my own launching. This storage unit is about 1 mile from the ramp and the best deal I have found. Until I win the lotto, this is the way it's gotta be....

I pay zip - nada - zero. My 17 foot walleye boat sits in my garage right along side my car and truck.

Having moved to the east coast from WI, I can tell you that there is no valid comparison to be made. I paid $40/month in West Bend and then $175/month in Danvers, MA for the same sized storage unit the very next year. Cost of living varies widely across the U.S. You got it made in Eagle with the great fishing lakes up there...

Yeah, everything is real close. I would figure the East Coast would pay more. You guys can really get socked sometimes. Most of the 4-5 lakes we go to are no more than 30 minutes away. 8)

Winter? We're just starting boating season here. I pay $100/mo for a 50' covered space year 'round, far from the water but near home. I can't seem to choose one lake to stay near, though it would be cheaper.

Yeah, same here in the deep south, the boating season is just starting... again.

I pay $125 / month for 10' x 30' covered storage. Includes private launch, eletricity, and restroom.

Yes, we come out from of our air-conditioned habitats to terrorize the waterways and try to make our snowbound counterparts jealous.

Ditto. My parents have too much land (old farm), and some empty buildings that fit 4 boats oh soooooo nicely. 8)
