Current prop is ????. Need help on where to start.

My buddy just bought a 1988 Sea Sprite. It is 19.5 feet long and has and OMC Model 800 4.3L engine. The boat came with a SS prop that looks like it has seen the grinding wheel a few too many times. We have no idea what the pitch is so we don't have a refernce point to start from. Based on the above specs what would be a good prop pitch to use as a starting point.<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Al

There should be some numbers stamped on the prop. They could be stamped on the hub or anywhere, try to find those numbers and someone can help you figure out what you have. I would guess you a 19p.
