OK, I've been out in the garage readying the ole Liquid Limo for her trip to the Boat Valet down at Lake Anna for the last couple of days. You know, checking the air in the trailer tires. Cleaning. Touching up bottom paint cuase I just love beaching the boat. And right near the end, the danged tumblers fall out of the key switch for the tilt control ?????? Whatheheck?? So...here we go! Last minute electrical work. You guys know Electrical ain't my strong suit. Especially trying to swap out a full blown ignition switch for a simple 1060's on/off key switch. But it's done. And now the boat is ready. The plan was to head down tomorrow morning, do a little cruising, stuff the boat in the Valet, and bring the trailer home for some re-furb work (top secret, can't disclose till Tinstock type stuff).

Then I checked the weather :(

Rain tonight. Rain tomorrow with possible Tstorms, and rain Tuesday! Jeeeeezzz!!!!

So, with this in mind, I need to make some other folks as miserable as I am.

So here a few pics of my nephew Anthony and I at the lake last year cruisin around in our restored Starcraft boat. For those of you who don't have yours done, all I can say is :p:p:p:D

Just look at the smile on that mans face right there. Gotta love it!

Well NB, I suppose it's a motivator for us guys whose boats are still in the state of wet foam, peeling paint, shoddy interiors, rats nest wiring, blown engines and death trap trailers.

Can it be done? I think you answered that question, eh!:D

I will allow this gloating because your boat is so damn fine. You worked hard and can be proud of it.

Before I bought my boat I spent a lot of time in the Mako website. I was set on getting an older Mako and doing a resto on it. I happened across this forum, and saw your finished boat in particular and I was sold. I quite looking at all other boats except Starcrafts. The people on this forum are the best and I wanted to be a part of it.

There are two boats that stand out for me (IMHO). The Liquid Limo and the 57 Ski Champ by Wrfalpacas. I like them all honestly. If I really need motivation I can always play the video of your boat zipping around the lake.

Now excuse me I need to go to the indoor lumber yard and pick up some Mahogany for the dashboards. My friends told me to just use marine plywood, it's only a fishing boat.

I think that's a spotlight. So's he can signal his many adoring fans on shore.

The horn is an ordinary SC boat horn, same as I have on my boat. Course his probably plays Amazing Grace or the Star Spangled Banner. Maybe even the theme from Dukes of Hazard.:p

Seriously guys, this thread was born from frustration! I'm goin nuts here wanting to get this danged boat in the water!

I don't have to fish or ski, or anything. I just love ridin around the lake in it. I know that's probably sad, but it's the truth.

Anyhow, the lying weather man says it's gonna hit 78 on Saturday and come hell or high water I'm goin to the lake.

As far as all you folks working on your boats, just keep bangin at it and it'll happen. Before you know it, we'll all be loaded up in the Liquid Limo on a Saturday evening, riding the waves over to wreck Ezmobee's rental house:eek:

And Clark, that's a big honkin, remote controlled spotlight:D Since I totally wrecked the really nice one that came with the boat.

I can't wait to see all of your boats!
