custom top

[pkrainert]

Anyone build any custom Targa tops or fully enclosed convertible tops? I have a 16 foot boat with a worn out convertible top, i wish it had sides on it at least just to block the wind out when I am fishing in the winter.

Re: custom top

I have considered it many times. I need to make an enclosure for my big boat. I have the bows already. I think the hard part will be locating all the specialty parts, zippers, buttons and the like you need to do it. And we do not have a sewing machine. I wish you would go ahead and tackle it so I can see how to go about it.
I once saw a website where you could order a pattering kit to make tops. Darned if I remember where I saw it.
