I talked to a sergeant in the military, he said Bush had no real plan for Iraq. That's true. But he still did a noble thing. He just didn't go about it very well. What he did: great, how he did it: not so great

So Bush "meant well"?

I have no doubt that is true.

I have a hunch that is not much consolation to the thousands of dead and maimed American soldiers, not to mention the dead Iraqis.

I guess this sounds cold, but so what about the Iraqis? I'm just glad we haven't had 2 or 3 more 9/11 attacks.... and that you can blame on W.

It is too bad we have loses in the military, but that is part of the job. Noone forced one single soldier to wear the uniform, not one.... are we straight on this?... any discussion needed on this?... RIGHT?

JB is right on! But I'll take it one step further. Inspections for WMDs were announced months in advance and those conducting the search were delayed or prevented from searching many locations.

If the police are going to raid a crack house how much evidence will they find if they announce their intentions in advance? The Iraqis had plenty of time to move or hide WMDs.

Figure it out - it's not difficult if you rely on common sense and logic rather than politics in arriving at any conclusions.
