Don't worry about how many turns. It is already somewhere in the ballpark. Just adjust it already. Turn to the left to make it richer.

BTW, remove the hood when running it in a barrel. Othrwise it breathes it's own smoke. Watch out for that flywheel, you don't want to know what will happen if you get tangled up in it.

NOT hijacking here but... I know but just a comment... These gentlemen here saved me literally hundreds of dollars in parts. My 1960 Gale V-4 started right up after sitting for years (atleast 5) and all I did was clean the carbs, Fresh gas and cleaned the points. Now I take 5 minutes and gently file the points a bit each time I run it and wala!
