Well got a picture of the damage that some yahoo did to this boat. I would like to know if is a lost cause or can it be fixed
The boat will only have a 25 Hp motor on it on a pond no real high speeds. Note that the water line is just under the two cuts he made for a short shaft motor. tarnsom cut.jpg

Is the boat worth $500 in materials and 50-100 hours of your time? You're looking at a de-cap, new transom wood, replacing the missing pieces of fiberglass skin, and finding or fabricating a replacement for the transom cap aluminum.

Yes that is basically the main question...what is the boat worth to you? Personally I would find something different. But if you want to fix it you have come to the right place. It is totally up to you. Good luck.

What boat is it?
Got pics of the entire boat?
Are you highly concerned about the cosmetics of the repair?
Is $300 & 20 hours of work to much to pay?

It's a Thunderbird Shawnee,DSC_0329.jpg I don't care about cosmetics at this time. My wife loves the boat she wants me to work on it.
