I am working on a 4HP 1976 model 4R76M and need a cylinder/crankcase p/n 0387605. Is there any way I can use a 1978 cylinder/crankcase p/n 0389502 which was salvaged from a model 4R78E? I'm thinking it won't work unless I get/build a whole powerhead, including the carburetor, from the 4R78E. This is because there are a bunch of tapped holes in the block for Recoil Starter, Throttle, choke etc that are not in the same position between the 2 different cylinder/crankcase blocks.
