Man spends over 20 years of a life sentence in prison for two sex crimes murder that he did not commit. The hospital that took the DNA left it in a Drawer which was recently found and cleared the man of the crimes.

You know, sometimes when I think about how much money we waste I kinda like the idea of taking them to an adjacent room after sentencing and putting a bullet in 'em. Hearing stories like this makes it a lot harder to stand by that idea for me.

I dont believe in the law suit happy society we live in. Most all attorneys are snakes out for their own bennefit BUT, the law enforcement agency, the DA and the hospital should all be held accountable to what happend to this guy. THey all failed miserably. The man should be compensated accordingly

Very common

Why do you think they stopped capital punishment in illinois after they found 13 on death row that were not guilty

Even more sickening is the number of individuals that were found guilty,of murder, got reduced sentences and comitted murder again.Worse yet ,being aquitted of multiple murders with a mountain of DNA evidence and a galaxy of circumstantial evidence and did no time.OJ comes to mind.

Re: D N A

What fries me is when law enforcement does its job & catches a criminal red-handed, gets a lock-tight confession, then the case gets thrown out on some "technicality". Like a form gets filed incorrectly or some other insignificant detail is overlooked & the perp walks free. Something needs to be done about that - I would bet those cases way outnumber the "wrong guy" type. :|

The technical details have become more inportant than the TRUTH

I thing the TRUTH is what they had in mind when they drafted the constitution NOT what size glove you were wearing when you picked up the bullet caseing
