I have a carb?ed 1996 Johnson 150hp V6 outboard. I was draining the lower unit oil last weekend and, in my haste, removed the wrong bolt to drain. The bolt I removed is on the right side next to the water intake screen. Some oil came out. I then realized my error and removed the CORRECT drain and vent screws and then drained & refilled the unit and reinstalled ALL screws/bolts. I believe (but am not sure) that the bolt I removed first is a Pinion Retaining Bolt. (I could not find it labeled on the only exploded view I found for an OMC V6 but did find it labeled on an OMC 3 cyl.) The Questions: 1) do I need to fill oil somewhere to replace what drained out when I first removed the bolt? 2) Is there anything special I need to do because I removed the bolt such as internal realignments, etc.
