Name Brand:Solar 1050 Model
Functions:55a Power(Jump)Charge--3 to 5 Minutes 12v
10a Charge 12v
2a Trickle Charge 12v
10a Charge 6v

My battery needed charging(couldn't start the boat)so I put the charger on at 10a 12v and waited an hour but didn't get started so I put on again at 55a 12v but this time i forgot to disconnect the clips(charger WAS unplugged)andtried to start again.NO GO.So I noticed the clips were still connected and thought--UH OH!!!!I plugged the charger back in and the indicator went to 15 as it should. After 15 seconds the needle flopped between 0 and 15 a couple of times then stayed at 0.After 45 seconds it went back to 12a and stayed 15 seconds then flopped as before to 0. I get nothing on the other settings.

So my question is::Is it repairable or fried???

Thanks for the help.

Re: Damaged Battery Charger???

Probably repairable but why bother? The new chargers are relatively inexpensive and do everything automatically. I have a Vector and its been working great for me.
