Well i installed and hooked up my "new ' secondhand engine .
But when I tried to fire it up .... the systemcheck sound and lights came on but that was all, nothing.....
The starter is'n even turning... and yes the batery is full.

I checked the fuse and that one is good.

Can somebody tell me where I can measure some point to figure out what the problem might be.

Thanks.
It's a 1999 Johnson 90Hp

Stef

Check to see that you have 12v being applied to the "B" (battery) terminal of the ignition switch.

In the START position of the ignition switch, 12v should register at the ignition switch "S" (solenoid) terminal. Does it?

Stef - If you are going to fiddle with that engine yourself best gei the OMC shop manual for it.

Can you turn the flywheel by hand? Try removing the plugs and see if it will move. It may be terribly flooded or stuck. Keep us posted!
