My new '99 Cobalt 252 was not cared for very well. The "wood" dash is badly faded. Is this replaceable? My depth finder does not work. Temp works but depth is blank. It flashes on start-up then goes blank. Is it the transducer? I believe the DF is a Faria? I can't find where they stuck the **^^% transducer. Help. Thanks

If the instrument panel is real wood, why not refinish it. If it is wood grain plastic, simply repaint it whatever color you like. Lowes has all sorts of paint for plastic. The depth finder transducer may be missing which is why the readout goes blank. The transducer will be mounted in either of two places. 1) on the transom or 2) in the bilge area.

Re: dashboard and depth finder

I had one of my dash panels recreated by Vector Imaging (Vectorled.com). They did a great job; reasonably priced and quick turnaround.
