pick up lines doesn't work if you don't have the personality to go with that particular line. It especially doesn't work if you didn't come up with it. Be yourself and make up your own unique stuff, what works for me won't neccessary works for you. Don't even bother with the old standby, generic pick up lines because they definetely don't work unless the girl you're hitting on been living under a rock all her life. Based on your described situation, you gotta lower expectation. Anybody remember the SNL skit Lower Expectation ? Those were some funny stuffs.

Just for some back ground on me. I did a 4 year hitch in the Navy {'75-'79}. Then I went to college for 3 years. After that I drove semi truck 48 states and Canada for 4 years. And after that I worked renaissance faires for 15 years untill I had a heart attack. So I've been a lot of places {including 7 different countrys} and met a lot of people. I was married with children {which should be dipped in wax and used for door stops} for about 3 years one time {2'nd biggest mistake of my life,first was not retireing from the Navy}. If you are thinking of an oriental woman I would go with Japanese, they are just about the best women in the world. And not to be-little you and your little woman there wncrjb, but I'd bet you've never been to Subic Bay or in the Navy. I realize that my experence with Philipino women is probably far different from yours and I won't tell you what we used to call them {your wife would slap you if you told her} but there are a lot of Philipino women that are just looking for a free ride to the states. The thing we all have to remember is that not all people are bad no mater where they are from. That being said, I agree with gonefishie. You have to think up your own pick up lines because most of mine fit me and few others. After all, I'm big, hairy, and scary. I scare small kids with a look, and have fun doing it. Another one I like is "Dariin, if you have me drawn and quartered you would come up with 1/4 biker, 1/4 hippie, 1/4 pirate, and 1/4 gypsy. But that works best when you have long hair and beard along with 13 tattoos and look like a pirate, which I do with out trying. Its like I said, the women are out there, you just have to talk to them. My girl friend and I both catch other women checking me out and we just laugh about it. I love it when the gal lags behind her man so she can look with out getting caught. Yes most women like the bad boy look but don't all ways want to play the part. I have all ways found that the harder I try to find a girl friend the less I'll succeed. When I give up and stop worrying about it and trying so hard one will find me,,,,,,,now if I can just get them to keep me longer than 2 years........ANIMAL

I gave up looking for a girl for nearly 6 years and so I need to stay in give up mode? I hear what you are saying. I don't know about the longer then 2 years deal (unless thier lease ran out), just joking.

I know what you mean about the 6 year thing. I just spent 6 years liveing in the woods where all I had was electric {went to my buddys house for showers and went like the bear for everything else}. Been with this one for a year now and she's still trying to house break me with some sucess. She just said minimal sucess,,,,,gotta stop telling her what I'm writing. I hear ya wildmaninal. My brother is in a condition very similiar to yours. He's off on workers comp because he screwed up his back at Walmart. They thought they'd buffalo him nad he lawyered up. One day he'll own a local store when they go to court. They violated his (and theres) doctors orders and put him in a job he couldn't do. When he refused they fired him. The next day they called wanting to just forget about the whole thing and give him a weeks pay as a way of saying they were sorry about the mistake if he would come back to work as a greeter or something else he could do. He's 28, is divorced, he didn't have much to begin with but his ex took everything he had including his pride, and he lives in a cabin with no running water on my parents land. Once his expectations dropped he was able to get girls. Mind you these were not perfect by anyones standards but any port in a storm right? Having your cards stacked against you makes it hard to find a GOOD woman. Who wants to be with a man that doesn't work, is disabled, and lives with momma? Like I said, you and my brother could be twins. Keep your head up though and continue to work at it, all of it. You'll make it and the right one will just show up one day. I dated the same girl for 2 years and had already bought a ring for her. Found out she was cheating and it was over. My current (and only) wife had dated the same guy for about 4 years. They were also getting married. Some reason or another they broke up. Two days after each of the couples had broke up I met my wife, well kinda. I put a note on her car to call me, I was a coward back then. She didn't know what the note was for so she did. We worked next door to each other but had never seen each other before. We both stated that we were not looking for any type of love but only a freind of the oppisite sex and not for sex, just a friend. That was over 14 years ago and we've been married since June of '94. We're not really perfect for each other but we complement each other well enough. We're really polar oppisites but I think thats what makes it work so well. I love her and she loves me. I have two buetiful daughters and another child due April 15th. Chit happens and sometimes its for a good reason.

Hey Animal.... I agree with ya on that one....
I've never been to subic bay or ever did a stint in the navy but I know all to well about the Philippine women from that area and from Manilla.
These women have a name and life style all their own.
My little woman is from a small village in the middle of nowhere on the island of Cebu, quite a ways south of Manilla or subic bay. Her up-bringing is way different than the city girls who pray on the military folk.

My wife has some cute names for subic bay women and they don't sound too flattering LOL...

I didn't want to step on any toes and I'm sure you got a good woman there. But man could I tell you some stories about Subic Bay. I was bounceing in and out from 1976 to 1977 right after 'Nam and man was it a wild place. You might say thats where I got my real sex education at. I still like the Jap women the best though. Asian women look good.I like the dark hair and eyes.They usually take care of themselves.
Strange that i never really seen any of them on the dating sites.
If i ever end it with my GF that i'm with now i doubt i'll be in any hurry to date anyone. I have a boat and my dog,what else does a man need!

You need to know the differance in women before you look around. for example . The differance between a telephone operator and a school teacher.The telephone operator tells you when your 3 minutes are up BUT the school teacher: makes you do it over and over again till you get it right!

There's plenty of fish on plentyoffish. I've found 4 interesting ones so far myself. The first one and I decided to be just friends. The second one and I get along by e mail and phone, but, she lives 40 miles from me and have you seen the price of gas. The third one I may have scared off. My fault, I shouldn't post when drunk and depressed. The forth seems nice, but, she works so many hours we can never seen to get any time to meet up. There is a fifth but, I haven't contacted her yet. I'm hoping the third one will call back.

I haven't dated a woman in 15 years. But, I'm 43 now and figure it's time to give it one last chance.
