Day-Knights and Night-Knights

You go to an underground kingdom that is half and half filled with Day-Knights and Night-Knights. Day-Knights tell the truth during the day and lie at night, while Night-Knights lie during the day and tell the truth at night. You forgot to wind your watch and after some time, you forget if it's day or night. You ask one of the Knights and he tells you "I'm a Day-Knight and it's Night." Is it day or night and what type of knight are you talking to?

Let's compound the problem. The day-knights are dressed in all green, the night-knights are dressed in all red, but you don't know which is which. What question can you ask of either that will tell you whether it's day or night?

Let's compound the problem. The day-knights are dressed in all green, the night-knights are dressed in all red, but you don't know which is which. What question can you ask of either that will tell you whether it's day or night?

Actually, this is slightly more complicated than the you're only allowed one question teaser since both types of knights can lie at different times. However, you didn't ask for one question to determine what type of knight and whether it's day or night, you only wanted to find out if it's day or night. So the question would be, "12 hours ago, would you have said it was day, or night?" Then whatever he says, that's what it is now.
