Ever since we got a 70 deg day in March I have been iching to get my boat ready for the water. I was able to get my lower back on (I pulled it to repair a broken bolt from way back) but then I had to go on the road until yesterday. :(

I spent most of yesterday and all of today getting the battery in, (those Maxx 29 batterys are heavy!), checking everything and then running the fogging oil out. The only thing I need to do is drop my idle down as it is running at 1500 on neutral idle. I'll get that done tomorrow and then its look out fish, here I come. :)

I have been waiting for a while. The 22nd we had 75deg weather the next day we had a blizzard. It has been cold ever since. They are saying we might get a foot of snow tonight. Hell it just had the wait till spring to snow  Really looking forward to summer.

I was just in Oklahoma for a couple of weeks and it went from warm and spring like to a blizzard and low temps back to the sixties and thunder storms in a matter of four days. What a nightmare. I was glad to get back to the cold east coast!!!

Well don't just talk about it. Do it! :D

BTW, I like the hat. When I was a kid in the fifties, all my uncles wore them when they took our boats out.
Funny, I can't keep my hats from blowing off the boat no matter what. I wonder how they kept theirs on?
Probably all the Dippity Doo and VO5 stuff we used to comb our hair with.

Thanks, I bought it down at an ocean city boardwalk junk store because I thought it would go well with the 1964 boat. I found the original sales brochure for the boat online and the guy in the captain's chair was wearing the same hat, so I guess I was right!

Boat project is coming along, I'm a student so I only get to work on it on the weekend. Got a lot done yesterday with the nice weather. Its coming along.

Enjoy your time on the water!
