Dead in the water

Yesterday I took my grandkids tubing and everything was fine. The motor was running great. We had been on the lake for about an hour.I stopped to change riders and when i tried to start the engine it would;nt start. It would start for just a second and quit. I put it in neutral fast throttle and it would run, but when i pulled it back to neutral it would stop. The motor is a1989 Force 125,this motor has been nickle and dimeing me to death. Any help would be appreciated.

As I always say: FIRST, change or clean the sparkplugs.

Those are new spark plugs. But i went and pulled them and checked them and they look ok to me.
