Dealer told me Bayliner is not making the discovery 192 anymore.

Is there any truth to that?

The dealer may have even said they didn't make any 2013s either but I can't really remember for sure if he said that. He said they probably aren't making any more 192s for a couple of years. Something about maybe they are retooling.

I believe your dealer is correct. at the tail end of last year, Bayliner moved all of it's Cruiser production to Brazil. So no cruisers are currently made in the US, nor sold here.
The plan for BBG was to make bowriders, deckboats and jet boats here in the US. Since the 192 is an orphan (not cruiser, not bowrider/deckboat) I think what you see here in
the US is all that is left. I noticed that the few dealers that have a 2013 192 in stock, make mention of "Closeout Sale", "Non-Current Inventory Price"

From what I have gathered from speaking with a few dealers is that bayliner has a pretty good inventory of the boats that they are not making anymore. For example the factory was shut down in 2011/2012 where my 250CS was made but it was sold as a 2013 and there will be 2014 on and on. I think they have just built up an inventory to get them through the next few years then they will be shippig the boats made in Brazil up to the states. Just my $.02

They will NOT be shipping the Bayliner cruisers to the US (North America) They are history for US sales going forward. You would have to import one from Brazil if you want one.

Bayliner will make Brazil the center for its cruiser business but will suspend the brand’s cruiser sales and production outside of South America, leaving Sea Ray to represent Brunswick in the cruiser segment in North America.

My neighbor liked his 24' Bayliner, I was never a fan of his or any Bayliner. I'd not be buying one now for sure as it seems at least some models will never be seen in the US again. After these models-- which are next?

The 192 isn't a bowrider?

Look like they are still selling the 192 Discovery Cuddy:

The Discovery 192 is one of the only boats that fits both family day fun at the lake and fishing. I was interested in the Campion 542 which is a great boat but the comfort factor is not there for the wife and kids. The cuddy is small compared to the 192.
