Not bashing them...just wouldn't rebuild them. I have owned two...I know why you wouldn't want to.

And why they would want to restore a Bayliner is beyond me too.
Hey, I resemble that remark!

Hey, Alpheus, did you salvage the seats and instruments? This thread has been linked in another forum for owners of a certain boat brand, and folks are wondering about that.

I have been trying to sell a boat windshield for FAR less than the numbers I see people saying they sell for hear. I have had one interested person, but he wanted it shipped a few hundred miles away, at my cost. Not sure where all the windshield buyers are that are paying $300-600 for these things, but send them my way, lol.

sounds like Budget Boats needs to advertise to the lake boaters. I often post their info here when people are looking for parts. It's one of my favorite places to poke around.

Yeah, seems like a lot of good parts still on the boat. Am I mistaken or were the nav lights still on the bow too?

I just bought one little bracket (to replace one that broke) to hold my all-around and it was $21!

....gotta love those Bayliner bashers. Most of these people didn't know what they were buying or didn't know how to care of them when they had them....so they blame Bayliner...for their decision, hilarious.
I can only assume those of us who have had reasonably good luck with them figured it out.;)
....too bad about those owners not taking better care of that boat....I guess part of the generation of endlessly disposable items.

Knowing that was so new, it was hard to watch it get thrown away. Do you know the story behind it?

I don't have a project in mind for the parts. They are already for sale. It took me 5 minutes to get the engine running on the ground, and the outdrive passed its pressure test with flying colors...

As for the interior. This boat has NEVER had a cover on it since it was brand new. I bought it from the original owner. The interior was shot. All the vinyl was cracked and the wood in the seat backs and side panels was rotten...

You have any links to 10-15 year old Bayliners for less than $500? Heck, it doesn't even need to be a Bayliner, I would even take a Sunbird or Baja at that price!

check out craigs lists around here (Norfolk VA) and other coastal boating communities. Also Budget Boats--they might not be listed on the website as $500 but they have stuff out there that needs to go.
But how are you going to get it to Louisiana?

U-Ship is your friend!

Just have to wait on somebody running south empty. No big deal since I won't care how fast it gets here.
