Debt paid and Blessed Won the Bet

On Nov 20, 2006 I was blessed with my first grandson. Before he was 1 hour old I asked when I would be getting another! My DIL said when you quit smoking! I told her OKAY ..... it's a deal and I quit. Everytime she left my home she would give me a hug and I would say.... Remember our deal!

This past September right around my birthday I got a phonecall from my DIL and asked if I remembered the deal? ............

At 3:00 PM today I was paid!! My beautiful granddaughter was born. 7lbs 10 ounces and a full head of hair (more than the grandfather has!!!). Her name is Karen .... named after my first wife.

I am so happy and proud right now!! Pictures will follow.

LOL You know..... I asked that question.... "when is the next one coming?" and my DIL told me in a couple of years..... I had to ask!!

I told my son that I was very proud of him ..... one boy and one girl... I said the next one will be a tie breaker!

My dad always says that getting older is better than the alternitive. He says he'd rather lose his hair then have to be permanantly horizontal. Guess he has a good point about that.

They say the signs of getting older are:

1. Loseing your sight
2. Losing your hair
3. Losing your hearing
4. Darn, I thought of it a second ago but cannot remmber now. (your mind )
