Looking to replace the wellcraft insignia and the two inch boot stripe, the surface is clean and ready. What seems to be an easy application may not be.On that premise are there any tricks of the trade to enlighten me, on a successful application. The material seems to be very delicate and flimsy so im looking for a smooth process.Thankyou Andy
ps Gas Tank advice was extremely helpful!

Re: Decal and Boot stripe replacement

Get you a good spray bottle, Fill it with soapy water, and spray small areas where you are working. That will help you lay the stripe down and give you some adjustment, before it dries. You will need a squeegee of some sort to work out the air bubbles and soapy water. Take you time, pay attention to what you're doing and you should be fine. Good luck.

Edit: If you are new to laying stripes on stuff, it might help to pull a masking tape line, where the bottom of the boot stripe will land. Get the masking tape straight and that will help keep the boot stripe straight.

As for the decal, mix a drop or two of dish soap and water in a spray bottle. Spray the surface and apply the decal (wellcraft). Spray again and use a squeegee and smooth out.Is the boot stripe a 3M product? If so just clean surface with rubbing alcohol and apply.
