I am only going by the specs of my motor, and I would say just because they are all even doesn't mean my motor is in good shape, yes it may start ok and run ok, but my specs for this motor read as 145 - 165psi, .

Most manufactures won't state a specific PSI or range because there can be such a huge difference in readings from one gauge to another, which results in someone freaking out just like in this case. You don't need a high dollar gauge, just don't buy a cheap junk one.

Take it out and run it, if it's not running correctly check it out further to see what the issue is, pull the heads and look at the cylinder walls and the head gasket.

It actually has been running ok with a slight roughness midway throttle. I am buying a good quality gauge today and will post readings, I haven' been able to take the old girl out yet as I am still waiting on my tilt trim motor to be repaired and also another to come in the mail.
Last run with the boat was fine, it had a trim problem which I later worked out to be a loose tilt shaft which the ram sits on, it was loose and had tilted the ram off the stainless bar it hits. other than that the motor ran fine just chunky mid throttle.
I have had another thread about rebuild costs, but am in no hurry with rebuilding her yet either.

If it starts and idles OK the compression should still be good, this is the area that can be first to show problems when compression is low.
