Decarb new motor?

Am putting the final 25 to 1 break-in hours on my new 9.9 hp two stroke Johnson. I thought it may be a good idea after break-in to decarb to remove residual carbon from the extra oil used<br />during break-in. Good idea or bad?

Decarb never hurts, Tailfin, and usually helps.<br /><br />Decarbing is sort of like taking a shower. Sometimes you need one, sometimes not, but it never hurts.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

i wouldnt decarb a new motor just break it in like the user manual says. decarb is for higher run times (older motors )
