Can I decarb on the muffs? I live in the boonies so I dont have to worry about smogging out the neighbors.

I don't see any reason why not, Refro.

You should - I certainly would never decarb in the water. There's lots of things that could cause you to need a tow home, along with pissing everybody off with your smoke. ;)

I do it on muffs, prefer to smoke the neighbours than the whole marina.

Some interesting threads here about decarbing, I've looked around here in the I.o.M. for some of this deep creep and it's not availble over here.
Can anyone tell me what it's constituents are, maybe I can find something similar.

Manxman if you can get power tune sold by merc it is close to the same thing.

Answer to the post sure you can decarb on muffs.
Add a little to your gas and do it as a preventive deal.

Deep Creep is just Seafoam in a spray can. You can find a way to spray Seafoam and it will do the same thing. Or if not Seafoam then OMC's or Mercury's equivalent. Probably there are even automotive equivalents, though Seafoam is hardly limited to marine applications. Seafoam link

Re: decarb on muffs???

I did just that yesterday... Poured two cans of seafoam, into two gallons of gas and ran the motor on the muffs for five minutes at idle to 1100 rpm... Then poured another can of seafoam into a spray bottle, sprayed into the carb throats until it died, let it sit for five minutes and ran it again for five minutes before re-spraying.. Did this a few times. It did release quite a bit of junk out of the exhaust... Smoked a lot to!!!!
