Re: Decarb
A JohnRude dealer in South-central Nebraska.
Had been selling it for years AND recommending it....said he had several cases of engines coming in not running right, and found a black goo in all that had the simular symptoms (In the carbs). Eventually, he became aware that several of those people were using Seafoam and started making some phone calls....some people were pouring entire contents of can into 12-20 gallon fuel systems (Twice the recommended dose) and phoned the company for info on what affects it had at high rates and told them his problems with the black goo in some of the engines, and they confirmed the fact that if used Off-label, it can dissolve rubber, nylon, teflon, silicon-based material and even some aluminum tank sealants.
We sell the stuff, I can't say I've looked for cautions or warnings on the bottle, just rates to use it at. I use it and have never had a problem, but I use it as recommended too.
