decarbing for dummies qd20 10hp

motor runs good. had it for 15+ years. want to decarb it. have not found a good cheap factory manual yet-keep lookin on ebay. i know i need one. can change plugs and lower lube. thats about it. but i've never decarbed the motor fully. i am handy with cars. shot stuff down spark plug holes last year but not through carb as i am a little gunshy about below.<br />to get to the carb it looks like you have to take off a "box" that that sits on top of it. it has 2 holes on top of it so i guess it is an air intake. can i just spray into these 2 holes on what looks like an intake box to shoot decarb spray? if not it looks like recoil and front plate with choke lever and idle mixture screws has to come off to get this intake box off to get to carb opening. obviously without recoil, the motor will not run. dont want to screw up motor. as you see, name says it all. thank you.

I'd just run some seafoam in with the fuel if it's running good. That should clean out any minor deposits that have accumulated over time. Just double up on the suggested mixture and run it well.
