I got up this morning and decided to decarb my 1973 85 horse Evinrude. I used the method that gss036 describes in the FAQ forum.

I have never seen so much mucky crap in my life! I ran it for 15 minutes and let it sit for 15 minutes, did that three times and then took it to the lake for a test run.

Made a big difference in throttle responce and top end speed. The tach hasn't come in yet so I didn't get to see the difference there.

I put a cardboard box behind the prop to see all the crap that came out and it was about 1/2 inch thick in the bottom of the box when I was done!

Seafoam is one great product and I will be using it regularly from now on.
