I have read all the decarboning posts and feel somewhat confused. I would like to decarb my motor but all the info I see is for newer and/or larger motors. Where do I spray the decarb agent for my particular motor, etc. This motor came with my boat and I would like to extend it's life for as long as possible. Should I also use Ficht Ram Oil and Carbon Guard for this motor? Can you help? Thanx.

On a two-stroke, I would prefer adding the agent to the tank rather than pouring into the carb because of the danger of diluting the oil mixture into the engine. Pouring (or spraying) works fine on a 4-stroke.

If you want to spend your money on premium, premium oils, that's your choice. That old engine was designed for low quality oil, and plenty of it. A reasonable choice would be any reputable two-stroke oil at about 32:1 mixture.
