Pearl Harbor. Remember the thousands who died there and the tens of thousands who died in the conflict that followed.

I think I'll go visit with my Pop for a while today. He made it back.

Re: December 7

I drove to work this morning, a 36mile track mind you, and i counted the number of flags at half mast....I counted 1.....and that is the one in front of the company I work for! I must have passed 150 busnisses with flags! I find it repulsing!

I am proud my company remebered but expected more from a country filled with people who spew patriotic pride when it comes to 9/11...a sad day for sure ...but seem to forget it all on this day. Perhaps a reminder is in order for the public so that everyone can remeber that Japan is the only foreign military to set foot on American soil under arms besides the British in the war of 1812.

With that said I thank all who have served for those of us that could not or choose not to.

A++++ for your company. Why aren't most public schools doing this? Our most important history is getting lost..... Pray, lest we ever forget.

This post and the next few contain pictures of that infamous day. They were found in a Brownie Camera long after the attack. 3_Image.jpg1_Image.jpg2_Image.jpg4_Image.jpg5_Image.jpg

As far as I know, every CMOH recipient insists that the real heroes didn't come back. I disagree. I think that the real heroes are ordinary boys (men?) and women who knowingly went in harms way to preserve our liberties.

Those that died at Pearl Harbor were ambushed, but I do not doubt for a nanosecond that they were there on purpose, to stand on the wall and secure our interest.

"December 7, 1941, a date that will live in infamy"

I remember JB, and I'll remember all those who died that day and in the rest of the war, too.

On that day my dad was working with his brothers in the family mattress business and my mother was still living at home in the country 60 miles away. One year later he was on the queen Mary headed to England and she had moved to the city to work in a munitions plant.

As far a pearl harbor goes I think we should have put Japan on a long term pay back plan for what they cost us and they would still owe us billions..and Germany also
