I hope some youngsters clicked on this thread. I fear that one day this event will become less significant, their are only 150 left and they are all in their late 80's early 90's . I hope not.
Ancestry.com has a free WWII records search through tonight. I found out my Dad served from 42 to 46, I did not know that, I knew he served in the Army during WWII but I never knew how long. He didn't share too many details.
