I just reinstalled my glass liner deck, its in poor shape due to previous patching and bad repairs over the yrs , its solid but looks bad.
I need a deck paint that will hold up a while.
I guess that means some sort of 2 part paint.?
Prefer roller or brush application but would spray if i have to.
Heres a shot of the deck, I'll do the splashwell too, the PO
slopped some sort of yellow gelcoat all over it, I've got half of it sanded off so far.

Any recommendations?

Re: deck paint

I put down the non skid stuff from West Marine. It seems to be holding up fine after...one use lol

I'm going down the same path. One of the local places recommended "Easypoxy" by Pettit, with that "rubber grip" additive. That's what I plan on using.

Re: deck paint

I used the "Tile Clad" 2 part epoxy from Sherwin Williams.
Durable stuff, I also used to paint bath tubs with.
It will loose gloss in the sunlight and assume slightly chalky appearance but that is OK with me. First coat with fine sand, second coat out of the can.

I noticed that Amazon.com sells Easypoxy through one of their "vendors." However, none of the colors say anything about the non-slip. Might be a good price check when making your purchase.

Hello m8s..

No wonder why I get so confused about terminology..I call that your "cockpit" .. "deck" to me means .. like fordeck..aft deck.. (top part of the vessel).

anyways..I would make sure you put down a cover coat of whatever paint you use to hide the raw glass..

I roll awlgrip with awlgrip griptex ( google it) .. best ive found so far..

Try Jamestown Distributors.com they are cheaper than amozon by $9 per quart. Don't know about the non skid though, is it something you add to it or does it already come like that? Anyway call the 800 # on there web site they know everthing about there products, I just spoke to them today myself about the Pettit Easypoxy topside paint.
